Cheryl Wilhelmsen is member of the Faculty, teaching courses in the Industrial Technology Program at the University of Idaho on ergonomics, safety, emergency management, adult education and project management.

Professional Experience:

Workplace and Nuclear Settings

Conducted many hundreds of ergonomic assessments of workplaces ranging from offices to nuclear hot cells.

Military Settings

Military training programs dealing with military hardware and software training, and train-the-trainer programs. Project Manager for the Air Force (ASOC) project for two years.

Installations

Performing Human Reliability Analysis for various installations.

Publications and Research:

Cheryl has over 50 publications on ergonomic and safety topics and has chaired technical sessions on ergonomics and safety at domestic and international conferences.
Researched the change in risk due to the upgrade of commercial nuclear power plants from analog to digital instrumentation for the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Researched the risk of human error in aviation maintenance with NASA Ames, and Boeing.
