Join us for the 6th running for scholars at the UNIVERSITY PLACE 5K FUN RUN/WALK hosted by Idaho State University and the University of Idaho on September 12, 2009.

This event is open to all levels and ages and each registrant receives a long sleeve shirt. The UP5K route takes runners and walkers along the scenic Idaho Falls Greenbelt Trail. Following the race runners will be treated to a hot breakfast and awards ceremony with prize drawings for all participants. The UP5K brings attention to the educational opportunities provided by the two universities at University Place in Idaho Falls.

Proceeds from the event are used to fund scholarships for students attending classes at the Idaho Falls campus. The event is sponsored by University of Idaho, Idaho State University, Idaho National Laboratory, Robert D. Hardy CPA, PC, Bennion Student Union, Palacio de Eastern Idaho and River City Weekly online with additional support from local businesses.
