M. Windes is a research support scientist with the Department of Plant,
Soil, and Entomological Sciences at the University of Idaho in Idaho
Falls. Originally from the First State, she received a B.S. and M.S.
from the Department of Plant Sciences, University of Delaware, Newark.
Her Ph.D. is in Plant Pathology from the University of Illinois, Urbana.
Dr. Windes was previously at the Aberdeen Research and Experiment Station, working with the wheat breeding program for almost six years. Specializing in host-pathogen interactions in her masters, Ph.D., and at Aberdeen, her area of expertise include the rust and smut fungi of small grains. Current responsibilities include working with the site-specific ag research program out of Aberdeen, teaching Plant Pathology, Genetics, as well as being site-coordinator for the Plant Sciences program at Idaho Falls.
She is a member of the American Phytopathological Society (APS), Crop Science Society of America (CSSA),
