 Blake G. Hall, president of the Idaho State Board of Education
and trial lawyer, calls Idaho his adoptive home. He earned a bachelor's
degree in 1976, graduating magna cum laude from Brigham Young University.
He then attended George Washingto n University, where he earned a Juris
Doctor in 1979.
 His legal practiceinvolves civil trial, administrative and
appellate practice with emphasis in personal injury, tort litigation,
insurance defense law, municipal law, civil rights litigation and planning
and zoning. He also serves as legal counsel for the Bonneville County
Commissioners and many of the southeastern Idaho counties.
  Mr. Hall has provided his assistance to the state by serving
on numerous committees such as the Welfare Reform Committee, Medicaid
Reform Committee and the Children's Health Insurance Programs Task Force.
Currently, he is the chairman of the Regional Development Alliance which
oversees economic development activities in the seven counties of southeastern
Idaho.
