 Beverly Beverly A. Cook has been the manager of the Department of Energys Idaho Operations office since June 1, 1999. In this position, Ms. Cook is responsible for the waste cleanup mission at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory as well as managing a wide range of research and development programs that span the departments environmental, energy, nuclear science and technology and national security needs.
 Prior to coming to Idaho, Ms. Cook was the Principal Deputy Director of the Office of Nuclear Energy, Science and Technology for the Department of Energy. Beverly has held various positions in nuclear engineering including Program Director for the Space Nuclear Program. She was responsible for fabrication, quality assurance and nuclear safety of radioisotope thermoelectric generators provided to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for spacecraft power for the Cassini mission to Saturn. She has also served as supervisor of the Plant Systems and Components Division of the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board.
  Educated at the undergraduate level in metallurgical engineering at University of Washington, Beverly has also done extensive graduate work at the University of Idaho.
