The University of Idaho Biological and Agricultural Engineering department offers M.S., M.Engr, and Ph.D. degrees in Idaho Falls . Majors in Biological and Agricultural Engineering can specialize in irrigation, water and chemical management, hydrology, soil a nd water conservation, subsurface water and chemical transport modeling, remote sensing and climate modeling; alternative fuels an d lubricants; harvesting, handling, processing, storing and transporting of agricultural crops; precision agriculture; agricultura l equipment design and development; environmental systems for plants and animals; and bioremediation and organic waste management and treatment. Majors in Environmental Engineering with major professor in the department can specialize in bioremediaton, organi c waste management and treatment and environmental water quality. The primary focus of the Idaho Falls Biological and Agricultural Engineering department activities is in subsurface science as related to the transport and fate of chemicals beneath the earth's surface.
