Students must apply and be admitted to the University of Idaho (UI) or Idaho State University (ISU) prior to registration at University Place. Applications for admission can be obtained from the Student Services Office at 1784 Science Center Drive in Idaho Falls or online. Please allow sufficient time for the application to be processed before registration as well as to meet any applicable application deadlines. Students may apply for a degree program (graduate or undergraduate) or as a non-degree seeking student.
For
specific information regarding admission
procedures and requirements please call
the Idaho Falls Student Services Office
at 282-7900 or refer to the UI
General Catalog.
Registration
Registration is open to any admitted student who meets the prerequisites for the class for which he or she wishes to register. Information about the courses such as a description and any prerequisites can be found in the UI General Catalog. In addition, admitted UI students can also register for Idaho State University (ISU) classes at University Place or on ISU's main campus in Pocatello.
Registration deadlines are posted in the class schedule each semester. Registration for UI and ISU classes can be done on the web at www.isu.edu (see also a direct link from this website) in person or via the automated telephone line (282-4300). All UI students taking classes in Idaho Falls register on the ISU registration system. Academic information (i.e. grades) are maintained by the institution that offers the class. While every effort is made to ensure that the transfer credit information for degree seeking students is automatically sent from ISU to UI, it is the responsibility of the student to review his or her own transcript and to meet with an advisor regularly to determine if the record is correct.
The Student Services Office in Idaho Falls is open Monday, Thursday and Friday 8am to 5pm, and Tuesday and Wednesday 8am to 7pm during the fall and spring terms. Call 282-7900 for summer hours.
Registration Changes
A student who wishes to make changes to his or her schedule such as dropping a class or changing to an audit status may do so at the Student Services office or via the web or automated telephone system. The deadline dates for changes are listed in the Academic calendar in the catalog and the class schedule. Students should note that the deadline dates for changes may not be the same for UI and ISU classes.
Fees and Refunds
Registration fees and refunds are determined by the ISU fee and refund schedule. A copy of this document can be found in the Class Schedule and at the Student Services Office. Students who do not pay fees by the deadline may be disenrolled from classes.
Veterans benefits, for those who are eligible, may be used for course work completed at the University of Idaho. Interested students are encouraged to contact the UI Veterans advisor at (888)884-3246 prior to the fee payment deadline. Idaho Falls students may also contact the ISU Veteran's advisor at 282-2676.

may obtain official copies of their transcripts
upon a written request to the Registrars
